The Scottish Kiwi

The hit Dunedin Fringe show - one night only!

For one night only you can catch this hit show in Christchurch!

The Scottish Kiwi recently completed a sold out run at NZ Fringe in Wellington, then went down a storm at Dunedin Fringe a few weeks later. The reviews from the critics speak for themselves:

“McGhee leaves me in stitches. This show strikes me as a Netflix special cutting its teeth” (Art Murmurs)

“An hour of quality stand-up comedy and a great hour‘s entertainment…McGhee has a disarming ability to tell a great story” (Regional News)

“Offers plenty of whimsical insights and good laughs” (Theatreview)

So what’s the show about?

After fleeing Scotland, Ryan McGhee plonked his fabulous gay ass in New Zealand 3 years ago.

Ryan thinks of himself as “born and fled” - while he’s fiercely patriotic as a Scotsman, he’d never bloody live there! Ryan will be sharing his take on the cultures of Scotland, Aotearoa, and the gay scene.

Ryan recently won “Best Newcomer” at the NZ Comedy Guild Awards (2021).

Ryan will be joined by transplanted Teesider and NZ citizen Michael Macaulay, whose family-friendly swearing and discreet nudity is the talk of church halls throughout the Kapiti region. Michael was nominated for “Best MC” at the Wellington Comedy Awards (2021).
